This is a 5K walk/run on Thanksgiving Day, November 28, 2024, to benefit the Steamboat Springs High School Cross Country and Track and Field programs. The event begins outside of the high school, travels east on Maple Street and then north on Amethyst to a turn around before Strawberry Park Road; and then back to the high school parking lot (just west of Gardner Stadium) Participants are instructed to follow all pedestrian guidelines and stay on sidewalks or shoulders of the road, without impeding any traffic. The event has been permitted by the City of Steamboat Springs each year and Routt County. The high school teams have hosted this event for 10 years with success and no incidents.
