The Stagecoach Mountain Ranch Stream Improvement Project will increase the diversity of aquatic habitat within the project reach by physically altering the existing channel and adjacent banks of the Yampa River to provide increased trout refuge and habitat. This project will repair bank and riparian damage from historic agricultural and ranching practices. The improved reach of the Yampa River will benefit both the riparian and aquatic ecosystems and improve recreation opportunities. Work will include in-channel grading, boulder installation, and shaping of banks.
