Steamboat Lake Water and Sanitation
I researched where this property is located within our water & sewer district.
Their property is located beyond where our water and sewer service ends on Golden Tide Place. Since the property is over five acres, they may have their own water well and septic.
Because the Burns' are not on the SLWSD system, we have no requirements or objections to this building extension application.
Sincerely,
Ellen Standish
Administrative Assistant
Steamboat Lake Water & Sanitation District

The addition of a bedroom will require an upgrade to the septic tank size and leach field size. A Colorado licensed professional engineer will need to design the upgrades or replacement of the OWTS (septic). [Christopher Peters @ 09/26/2024 12:54 PM]

Reviewer Comments:
Addition. Plans do not match the work description, so it is unclear where this master bedroom, bath, family room, and powder room are going. Cannot sign without full floorplans because it is unclear whether this may create a separate dwelling unit.

Plans updated. Master suite and additional family room added to the home. Does not create an additional dwelling unit. If an additional unit is desired in the future, a permit will be required. Note - lower level has bedrooms accessed through a garage. Planning does not have standards to prohibit this, as this is still one building with one kitchen and one single-family use. Accessing bedrooms through a garage is not advised, and may present other issues with building codes.
